ARTICLES SBY LIKE TO BE A FUTUROLOGY

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) said he probablywould cultivate the field of futurology retirement later. Futurology regarded as a veryexciting field.

"I see myself as a futurologist part-time because I spent so much time to draw up plansand strategies to make an estimate of what will happen in the coming weeks, as well asin the years ahead," said Yudhoyono, Wednesday (27 / 7) , while welcoming theinternational seminar speaker futurology, in the Office of the President.

"One day, when I retired as President, I will probably join the world of futurology is so interesting and maybe even form a club futurology," said Yudhoyono.

During the meeting, Yudhoyono was accompanied among others by the Investment Coordinating Board Gita Wirjawan and Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa.

The futurologist who met President is Prof. Donald K Emmerson, Prof. Thomas Fingar(National Intelligence Council), Dr. George Friedman (Strategic Forecasting), JamesCanton (Institute for Global Futures), Robert D Kaplan (Atlantic Media Company), Rogerbeachy (Donald Danforth Plant Science), and Zubaid Ahmad (Citi).

Futurology is a combination of various disciplines who study changes in the past and the present to get an estimate of the trend that will take place in the future.
